You load the text once. Every member drills immediately - no accounts, no PDFs, no chasing people down. Memoraid is the only memorization tool built for the director, not just the learner.
Built for groups
Most memorization tools are built for solo learners. Every member has to find their own app, create their own account, and enter the content themselves. Memoraid flips that: the director loads everything once, and every member can start drilling immediately with nothing to set up on their end.
Load all your texts once - songs, scripts, speeches. Every member always sees the current version. No emailing PDFs, no version confusion, no re-uploading when something changes.
Members just enter the group code you give them. No accounts to create, no app to download, no passwords to forget. Works on any phone or computer with a browser.
See which texts are being drilled and which lines are being missed most across your group - so you know where to focus rehearsal time.
Enter a full script once. Each cast member selects their character and drills their lines with everyone else’s lines shown as context. No splitting up the script manually.
Who it’s for
Whether you run a choir, a cast, or a debate team - if you have a group that needs to memorize text, Memoraid gives you one place to manage it. Members benefit too: instead of each person figuring out their own approach, everyone drills from the same source with the same structure.
Load lyrics once for every voice part. Members drill their part in the context of where it falls in the full piece - soprano, alto, tenor, bass, melody, harmony.
Enter the full script and every cast member drills their character’s lines with other characters’ cues shown for context - exactly as they appear in the script.
Memorize speeches, toasts, or sermons line by line, building each new line on top of the one before. Works just as well for solo use as for groups.
Debate scripts, spoken-word poetry, liturgy, scripture - anything with order and flow benefits from drilling in sequence rather than as isolated flashcards.
Drill modes
Start easy, work up to hard. Every mode keeps you in context - you always know where you are in the piece.
Read your cue line, recall what comes next, then reveal to check.
Pick the correct next line from four options. Immediate right/wrong feedback — no self-reporting.
Key words are hidden. Fill them in mentally, then reveal.
Only the first letter of each word is shown. Say the full line aloud.
Type the next line from memory. Scored word by word with fuzzy matching.
See all your lines at once, then progressively hide more until you can do it cold.
Lines you stumble on are saved automatically. Drill only the hard ones.
For scripts: other characters’ lines are read aloud, then a timer counts down your response window. Just like running lines with a scene partner.
✦ Script texts only
Memoraid is free while in beta. During this phase we’re setting up groups directly - just send us a note and we’ll get you up and running in minutes. Already have a group code? Head straight to the app.
How it works
Memoraid works two ways - as a group admin who loads and manages content, or as a member who drills using a code your admin gives you.
For group admins
Email hello@usememoraid.com and we’ll set up your group code and admin password. You’ll be up and running in minutes.
Log in with your admin password. Paste lyrics or a full script - for scripts, the app detects all characters automatically and separates them by part.
Share the group code with your members. They go to usememoraid.com, enter the code, and start drilling immediately - no accounts, no downloads, no friction.
The admin stats dashboard shows which texts are being drilled and which lines are being missed most - so you know where your group needs more work.
For members
Your choir director, stage manager, or group admin shares a short code with everyone. No account creation required on your end.
Go to usememoraid.com and enter your code. You’ll see all the texts your admin has loaded - songs, scripts, speeches - ready to drill.
Choose your voice part or character. For scripts, other characters’ lines are shown as read-only context - you only memorize your own.
Start with Flashcard or Progressive to get familiar, then work up to Type It Out or First Letters as you grow more confident.
For individuals
Email hello@usememoraid.com and we’ll set you up with a group code and admin password. You’ll be both the admin and the only member.
Log in as admin and paste in your lyrics, speech, or script. The app organizes it into drillable cards automatically.
Enter your own group code as a member and drill using any of the eight modes. Script texts also unlock Scene Partner — a hands-free mode that reads cues aloud and times your responses.
Share your group code whenever you’re ready to bring in other members - a study partner, a co-star, your whole ensemble.
The science
Most memorization tools were designed for facts - vocabulary, dates, definitions. Lyrics, scripts, and speeches are a fundamentally different kind of memory, and the research backs that up.
Decades of memory research show that position within a sequence directly affects retention. The middle of any list is always the hardest to recall. Memoraid preserves the natural order of your text so your brain can build on the structure that’s already there.
Memory retrieval is strongly tied to context - what you saw, heard, or said immediately before. In a performance, the cue for your next line is the line that just ended. Memoraid drills you in the same cue-response pattern you’ll use on stage or in rehearsal.
Re-reading text passively creates a sense of familiarity that isn’t the same as genuine recall. Memoraid’s drill modes - especially Type It Out and First Letters - force active retrieval, which consistently produces stronger and more durable memory than passive review.
The most effective memorization moves from supported to unsupported: see the full text first, then remove lines progressively until you can recall everything cold. Memoraid’s Progressive mode is built exactly around this principle.
The bottom line: Sequential text has a natural structure - each line cues the next. Memoraid is designed from the ground up to work with that structure rather than against it, so the way you practice matches the way you’ll actually perform. And when every member of your group is drilling from the same source, in the same structure, the whole ensemble arrives at rehearsal with a shared foundation.

Memoraid collects the minimum data needed to function:
Texts, group settings, and anonymous session data are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database hosted in the United States. Missed lines are stored only in your browser’s localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.
Admins are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any text entered into Memoraid. We don’t claim ownership of content you enter. We store it only to make it available to your group.
Memoraid does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for saving your missed lines locally on your device.
You can clear your missed lines at any time through the app. Admins can delete texts and session data through the admin panel. To have your group’s data fully removed from our servers, email hello@usememoraid.com.
