Free while in beta

Your whole group, word-perfect. One place to make it happen.

You load the text once. Every member drills immediately - no accounts, no PDFs, no chasing people down. Memoraid is the only memorization tool built for the director, not just the learner.

One admin. One place. Everyone ready.

Most memorization tools are built for solo learners. Every member has to find their own app, create their own account, and enter the content themselves. Memoraid flips that: the director loads everything once, and every member can start drilling immediately with nothing to set up on their end.

🔒

Central content management

Load all your texts once - songs, scripts, speeches. Every member always sees the current version. No emailing PDFs, no version confusion, no re-uploading when something changes.

👥

No signup for members

Members just enter the group code you give them. No accounts to create, no app to download, no passwords to forget. Works on any phone or computer with a browser.

📈

Admin usage dashboard

See which texts are being drilled and which lines are being missed most across your group - so you know where to focus rehearsal time.

🆕

Scripts built in

Enter a full script once. Each cast member selects their character and drills their lines with everyone else’s lines shown as context. No splitting up the script manually.

Built for directors and the groups they lead.

Whether you run a choir, a cast, or a debate team - if you have a group that needs to memorize text, Memoraid gives you one place to manage it. Members benefit too: instead of each person figuring out their own approach, everyone drills from the same source with the same structure.

🎵

Choirs & Singing Groups

Load lyrics once for every voice part. Members drill their part in the context of where it falls in the full piece - soprano, alto, tenor, bass, melody, harmony.

🎭

Theater & Drama

Enter the full script and every cast member drills their character’s lines with other characters’ cues shown for context - exactly as they appear in the script.

🎤

Speakers & Presenters

Memorize speeches, toasts, or sermons line by line, building each new line on top of the one before. Works just as well for solo use as for groups.

📚

Students & Learners

Debate scripts, spoken-word poetry, liturgy, scripture - anything with order and flow benefits from drilling in sequence rather than as isolated flashcards.

Seven ways to practice. One app.

Start easy, work up to hard. Every mode keeps you in context - you always know where you are in the piece.

Flashcard

Read your cue line, recall what comes next, then reveal to check.

Multiple Choice

Pick the correct next line from four options. Immediate right/wrong feedback — no self-reporting.

Blanks

Key words are hidden. Fill them in mentally, then reveal.

First Letters

Only the first letter of each word is shown. Say the full line aloud.

Type It Out

Type the next line from memory. Scored word by word with fuzzy matching.

Progressive

See all your lines at once, then progressively hide more until you can do it cold.

Review Missed

Lines you stumble on are saved automatically. Drill only the hard ones.

Scene Partner ✦

For scripts: other characters’ lines are read aloud, then a timer counts down your response window. Just like running lines with a scene partner.

✦ Script texts only

Want to set up a group?

Memoraid is free while in beta. During this phase we’re setting up groups directly - just send us a note and we’ll get you up and running in minutes. Already have a group code? Head straight to the app.

Up and running in minutes.

Memoraid works two ways - as a group admin who loads and manages content, or as a member who drills using a code your admin gives you.

Setting up and managing a group

1

Request your group

Email hello@usememoraid.com and we’ll set up your group code and admin password. You’ll be up and running in minutes.

2

Add your texts

Log in with your admin password. Paste lyrics or a full script - for scripts, the app detects all characters automatically and separates them by part.

3

Share the code

Share the group code with your members. They go to usememoraid.com, enter the code, and start drilling immediately - no accounts, no downloads, no friction.

4

Check the dashboard

The admin stats dashboard shows which texts are being drilled and which lines are being missed most - so you know where your group needs more work.

Joining a group that already uses Memoraid

1

Get your group code

Your choir director, stage manager, or group admin shares a short code with everyone. No account creation required on your end.

2

Enter the code

Go to usememoraid.com and enter your code. You’ll see all the texts your admin has loaded - songs, scripts, speeches - ready to drill.

3

Pick your part

Choose your voice part or character. For scripts, other characters’ lines are shown as read-only context - you only memorize your own.

4

Choose a mode and drill

Start with Flashcard or Progressive to get familiar, then work up to Type It Out or First Letters as you grow more confident.

Using Memoraid on your own

1

Request your group

Email hello@usememoraid.com and we’ll set you up with a group code and admin password. You’ll be both the admin and the only member.

2

Add your texts

Log in as admin and paste in your lyrics, speech, or script. The app organizes it into drillable cards automatically.

3

Start drilling

Enter your own group code as a member and drill using any of the eight modes. Script texts also unlock Scene Partner — a hands-free mode that reads cues aloud and times your responses.

4

Invite others any time

Share your group code whenever you’re ready to bring in other members - a study partner, a co-star, your whole ensemble.

Why sequential text needs a different approach.

Most memorization tools were designed for facts - vocabulary, dates, definitions. Lyrics, scripts, and speeches are a fundamentally different kind of memory, and the research backs that up.

Serial Position Effect

Order shapes what we remember

Decades of memory research show that position within a sequence directly affects retention. The middle of any list is always the hardest to recall. Memoraid preserves the natural order of your text so your brain can build on the structure that’s already there.

Context-Dependent Memory

The cue that triggers recall is what came before

Memory retrieval is strongly tied to context - what you saw, heard, or said immediately before. In a performance, the cue for your next line is the line that just ended. Memoraid drills you in the same cue-response pattern you’ll use on stage or in rehearsal.

Active Recall

Testing yourself beats re-reading every time

Re-reading text passively creates a sense of familiarity that isn’t the same as genuine recall. Memoraid’s drill modes - especially Type It Out and First Letters - force active retrieval, which consistently produces stronger and more durable memory than passive review.

Progressive Difficulty

Start supported, remove scaffolding gradually

The most effective memorization moves from supported to unsupported: see the full text first, then remove lines progressively until you can recall everything cold. Memoraid’s Progressive mode is built exactly around this principle.

The bottom line: Sequential text has a natural structure - each line cues the next. Memoraid is designed from the ground up to work with that structure rather than against it, so the way you practice matches the way you’ll actually perform. And when every member of your group is drilling from the same source, in the same structure, the whole ensemble arrives at rehearsal with a shared foundation.

Common questions.

Memoraid is a web app for memorizing sequential text - lyrics, scripts, speeches, or anything where order matters. It keeps you in context as you drill: you always see what came before, and you practice in the same cue-response pattern you’ll use in performance. It’s built around the group: one admin loads content once, and every member can start drilling immediately with no setup required on their end.
Two things. First, most memorization tools treat every item as independent - great for vocabulary or facts, but the wrong model for lyrics and scripts where each line cues the next. Memoraid preserves order and context throughout every drill mode. Second, no other tool is built for group management. With other apps, every member has to find the app themselves, create their own account, and enter the content on their own. With Memoraid, the director loads everything once and shares a single code. Members are drilling in minutes with nothing to install or sign up for.
No. Members just need the group code from their admin. There’s no signup, no email required, and no password for regular members. Your missed lines are saved locally on your device.
During beta we’re setting up groups directly. Just email hello@usememoraid.com and we’ll get you a group code and admin password within the day. Once you’re set up, adding texts and managing your group is entirely self-serve through the admin panel.
Yes. You set up a group for yourself, load your own texts, and drill using your own group code. You’re both the admin and the only member. You can invite others to your group any time by sharing the code.
Continuous is for single-voice text - lyrics, speeches, toasts, monologues. Script is for multi-speaker content - plays, scenes, dialogues. In Script mode, enter the full script with character names in ALL CAPS and the app automatically separates it by character. Each member drills their character’s lines with all other lines shown as read-only context.
Yes. Memoraid is a web app that works on any device with a browser - phone, tablet, or desktop. No download required.
Memoraid collects anonymous session data (which texts were drilled, scores, missed lines) to power the admin stats dashboard. No personal information is required. Your missed lines are stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What we collect

Memoraid collects the minimum data needed to function:

  • Anonymous session data - when you drill, we record which text, which mode, how many lines, your score, and which lines were missed. Not linked to any personal identifier.
  • Group codes - used to filter content per group, stored alongside your group’s texts and settings.
  • Admin passwords - stored in our database per group. We recommend not reusing passwords from other services.
  • Missed lines - saved locally in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

What we don’t collect

  • No names, email addresses, or personal identifiers from regular members
  • No payment information
  • No tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties

Where data is stored

Texts, group settings, and anonymous session data are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database hosted in the United States. Missed lines are stored only in your browser’s localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.

Text content you enter

Admins are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any text entered into Memoraid. We don’t claim ownership of content you enter. We store it only to make it available to your group.

Cookies

Memoraid does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for saving your missed lines locally on your device.

Your rights

You can clear your missed lines at any time through the app. Admins can delete texts and session data through the admin panel. To have your group’s data fully removed from our servers, email hello@usememoraid.com.
